Grand Banks 42 'Water Lily'
On board Grand Banks orientation and training by Captain Jerry Taylor for new owners Maria Brown and Jim Horner
April 2013
"Jerry and Wendy Taylor possess a vast amount of knowledge regarding boats and boating. They helped us take care of some initial maintenance needs of the 1996 Grand Banks Motoryacht we purchased. Additionally they spent 3 days on board helping us get to know the boat and build our confidence in caring for and operating her.
They were good "foster parents" for the boat during the preparation phase. They communicated clearly with us during this phase and kept meticulous records of purchases, repairs, and hours worked. As Grand Banks owners, their familiarity with the boat was invaluable. The boat was safer, cleaner, more comfortable and ran better once we took possession because of the work they had done.
In the shakedown cruise, they freely answered all questions we had, and helped build our familiarity with the boat as well as our ease in operating her. Add to that Jerry's wit and Wendy's lovely Kiwi accent, and you've got a talented, experienced couple with complementary skill who are able to provide numerous services to boat owners."
